Lisa Charest, PT, I.M.T.C., Founder/Owner

Licensed Physical Therapist in NH, MA, CT. Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, University of New England, Biddeford, ME -1990. Certified Integrative Manual Therapist, Connecticut School for Integrative Manual Therapy, Bloomfield, CT -2003. Athletic Republic level III Certified Trainer, ACL Bridge Certified 2010.


Lisa has been in practice management and patient care in all clinical settings since she graduated in 1990. She has a passion for working with athletes with sports related injuries and helping them gain an edge by improving their biomechanics. Lisa founded Summit Health NH in 2000, and since then Summit has grown into one of the most comprehensive patient recommended and doctor referred health & fitness, and rehabilitation organizations in northern New England specializing in Advanced Manual Therapy techniques. Her multi-site, private practice provides physical and occupational therapy with advanced treatment techniques in Integrative Manual  Therapy to residents in the Lakes Region, Concord and Hooksett, NH areas.

In 2009 Lisa co-founded the first Athletic Republic in New England. Athletic Republic NH is a franchised sport specific training facility with a science based approach to enhancing athlete performance. Based on 20+ years of research in physiology and biomechanics, these personalized programs give proven results for athletes. Dawn Guerin, PT/L, Lead Therapist

Licensed Physical Therapist Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, University of New England, Biddeford, ME -1997.


Dawn has 14 years of experience in physical therapy and has been with Summit since its opening in 2000. She serves as Lead Therapist at Summit where she coordinates continuing education courses hosted at Summit Health for the Allied Professionals and is in charge of all staff development and employee education. She has advanced coursework through Integrative Manual Therapy in areas including Craniosacral, Lymphatics and Neurofascial release. Dawn also educates and advises patients on solutions to allergies and/or gastrointestinal disorders. She has a strong interest in biomechanics and posture and became Kinesiotape practitioner in 2010. Dawn owns and operates Inner Beauty, AHealthyLife Affliate, which utilizes the ion cleanse footbath as a total body detox.

Judith Cook, OTR/L

Registered Occupational Therapist/Licensed OTR/L Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH -1983.


Judy has over 25 years experience in the field of occupational therapy working primarily in the area of outpatient rehab and business and industry. Her business and industry background allows her to share her expertise and provide educational programs to large and small businesses catering to their specific industry. Along with her years of experience and expertise, Judy also provides ergonomic assessments.

Hedi M. Bright, OTR/L, OAP-SC, ROT

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy;  University of New England, Biddeford Maine – 1995;  Orthopedic Allied Professional – Surgery Certified;  Registered Orthopedic Technologist

Hedi has 16 years of experience practicing occupational therapy with a primary focus on upper extremity orthopedics and hand therapy.  She has completed advanced specialty training through a mentorship program with a hand surgeon affording her the opportunity to assist during upper extremity surgeries and provide an advanced level of care following the procedure. Hedi is a Registered Orthopedic Technologist and has worked alongside an orthopedic office providing services for custom casting, bracing and splinting of the upper extremity. Hedi has also completed advanced coursework in wound care, cranio-sacral therapy, myofascial release, lymph drainage, kinesio-taping, and surgical techniques/procedures and therapy of the upper extremity.

She has a strong interest in the use of biomechanics and neuromuscular re-education to promote a balanced and functional return to daily living skills. She values educating each patient with a comprehensive therapeutic recovery program based on his or her stage of healing, inclusive of an individualized home program.

In addition to her strong clinical skills, Hedi is a Certified Master Signing Time Instructor and Handwriting Without Tears Instructor; serving the special needs of the youngest in our community. She passionately provides child-centered intervention through a variety of skills sets not limited to: yoga for children with special needs, sensory integration, infant massage, fine motor skills training, and therapeutic treatment/ communication skills for children with Down Syndrome. In 2008 Hedi graduated from the NH Leadership Series and is also a volunteer advocate for parents of children with special needs through the NH Parent Information Center. Advocacy, understanding and empowerment fuel her passion in the caring profession, not only as a career, but as a way of life.


Antoinette “Toni” McGrath, MPT/L

Licensed Physical Therapist, Masters of Physical Therapy, Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT -2002.


Toni brings 9 years experience to Summit and is currently the Coordinator of the Sports Performance Lab. She conducts performance tests such as VO2 Max and body composition, and is also a certified aquatic instructor. Toni also maintains the current protocols and recovery plans for Summit based on current orthopedic surgical techniques. Toni’s professional interests include Integrative Manual Therapy and sports related injuries. She enjoys working with athletes of all levels and all age groups.

Gudrun Stanton, PTA, LMT

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, Associates in Physical Therapy, Southern Georgia College, GA -1999, Licensed Massage Therapist, Space Coast Institute of Massage Therapy, FL -1996, Vital Kneads Institute of Massage Therapy, NH -2005.


Gudrun has been with Summit since its opening in 2000 and has over 10 years experience in both physical therapy and massage therapy. She specializes in Integrative Manual Therapy which enhances the functional outcomes and goals of physical therapy. She addresses a wide range of diagnoses from TMJ, headache or neck problems, to low back, hip and lower extremity conditions and injuries. She offers a balanced blend of hands-on bodywork along with exercise and education to provide the best comprehensive care for all patients.

Julie Leblanc, PT

Licensed Physical Therapist, Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, cum laude.  Northeastern University, Boston, MA-1994.


Julie has more than 15 years of clinical experience in multiple physical therapy settings. Her specialties include Deep Tissue Myofascial Release, Manual Therapy and Biomechanics, as well as advanced training in Craniosacral/Cranial therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and Neural Tension techniques from both The Center for Integrative Manual Therapy and The Upledger institute. She currently treats patients with neurological and orthopedics diagnoses, as well as migraines, sciatica, TMJ, fibromyalgia and chronic pain.

Lynne Ainsworth, PT, LMT

 

Licensed Physical Therapist, Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, cum laude, State University of New York at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY -1992. North Eastern Institute of Whole Health, School of Massage Therapy, Manchester, NH -2003.


Lynne has 17 years experience in physical therapy and has specialized in orthopedic manual therapy for the past 7 years. She integrates a blend of techniques learned through varied continuing education courses in Craniosacral Therapy, Integrated Manual Therapy, Upledger, Kain, as well as many others.



Matthew M. Begnoche. PT

Matthew M. Begnoche, PT, is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in Physical Therapy. He held a private practice in Vermont where he was a member of the Vermont Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Clinical Advisory Committee. He left private practice in 2001, to join the Lighthouse Physical Therapy staff so he could concentrate on his education in Integrative Manual Therapy which has been ongoing for the last ten years. He spent a year in Boulder, Colorado, where he worked and trained with Center IMT, and is very happy to be back in Portsmouth with everyone at Summit Health.



 

Ian MacDonald, PT, DPT
   

Ian MacDonald, PT, DPT 
Ian offers advanced sports therapy services and as the newest member of our outpatient Summit Health team. Ian is primarily located at our Hooksett location that is affiliated with Athletic Republic NH and offers technology used for elite sports training for athletes of all ages. Ian is available to evaluate and treat people who have recurring strains, acute trauma, and recent surgery. He will work closely with a physician’s protocol and provide qualitative and quantitative data on progress and return to sports/work preparedness.  This facility will perfectly compliment physician’s who seek additional data before placing an athlete back on the field or an employee back to work.  When therapeutic recovery is complete, I an will guide each athlete/patient into a seamless transition to the expert trainers who can raise one’s individual performance level to 110% of where they were at time of the injury.

 Michelle Smith, PT    
Michelle Smith, PT, received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from UNE Biddeford, ME in 1984. Certified in Neurodevelopmental Techniques (NDT) Pediatrics in 1991. Advanced training in CST; completed Integrated Awareness Teacher Training 2002.

Michelle has been a Physical Therapist since 1984 and has worked in private practice since 1999 before joining Summit Health NH. Michelle's first half of her career was focused on Pediatric PT with recent years expanding into treatment of chronic pain and neurological disabilities in adults and children. Michelle has strong manual therapy skills in craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, IMT, as well as energy-based techniques such as Reiki and Integrated Awareness.
   
     
 Danielle Rupp, OTR/L    
Danielle Rupp, OTR/L (Registered Occupational Therapist)  
Danielle graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Danielle joins the Summit team with a strong orthopedic clinical base gained during her six years as an occupational therapist in the army. With a continued desire to expand her clinical base, Danielle has also specialized in pediatric therapy. She has skillfully combined her orthopedic knowledge and biomechanical background to working with children and families and achieving superior outcomes. Danielle looks forward to serving our community and helping people achieve their greatest potential.
 
   
     
Phil Woodbury IV, PTA and Athletic Republic Trainer

Phils' hometown is Nashua, NH and graduated from Hesser College in Manchester, NH (class of 2011). He played three years of collegiate baseball: two at Rivier College, and one at Hesser College.

His interests in physical therapy are Sports/Orthopedics

Activities. Phil enjoys helping people reaching their fitness goals.

Phil runs the Gym program which is a highly supervised program for 'graduates' of PT if recommended by individual therapists.
